The famous Malvern Hills are nearby and offer miles of walking with spectacular views over Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

The ‘British Camp’ iron-age fort and the Worcestershire Beacon are particularly interesting places to find on these hills.

Welland (5miles) has a large and impressive annual Steam Rally, attracting enthusiasts from all over the country.

The Three Counties Showground is also nearby and hosts numerous events during the year; its ‘Royal Three Counties’ and seasonal ‘Garden’ shows are some of the biggest and best in the country.

A junction of the M5 motorway is 20 mins away and from there, Regency Cheltenham is a short drive, best-known for the regular meetings at its racecourse and the productions at its theatres.

The M50 to Ross-on-Wye is 10 mins away; Ross’s attractions include many festivals, book shops and the nearby Falconry Centre and Three Choirs Vineyard at Newent.

Indeed, Linhay even makes a good base to take in the annual Three Choirs Festival itself!

Pretty Cotswold villages like Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Boughton-on-the-Water and the Slaughters are also in close range.
